M21; International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

From CIM Burkina, we join in this day the claim for the elimination of racial discrimination in all its forms. Fifty-eight years ago today, the South African police killed 69 people during a protest against the racism and the xenophobia of the Apartheid in the city of Shaperville (South Africa). Six years later, the General Assembly of the United Nations chose this date in memory of these victims to proclaim "the universal respect of and observance for human rights and fundamental freedoms of all, without distinction of race, sex, language or religion".
