Scholarships for underprivileged children in primary, secondary, vocational training, and higher education.

Own financing: 22,310.67 euros.

At CIM Burkina we provide scholarships to students of different educational cycles to try to avoid school dropouts due to lack of financial means. The management of the scholarships is carried out by our local counterparts in most cases and in direct management by CIM Burkina in specific cases.
This year in particular, many of the scholarships are for students displaced by terrorism in the country, Gaoua being one of the host cities of displaced families, where they arrive without any resources.

For the current academic year 2022-2023, we have awarded 618 scholarships to students, distributed as follows:

Under the management of APFG ( Association Pour la Promotion Féminine à Gaoua):
- 76 in primary school
- 138 in secondary school
- 26 in vocational training
- 13 in university
- 34 "domestic students" (accelerated training for girls in serious cases in the rural environment).
288 students in total.

The students in vocational training correspond to the center self-managed by the APFG "Camille Kambou", a center for girls who do not attend or drop out of school early, where we have also financed part of the salaries of the trainers and maintenance of the center, as well as equipment such as sewing machines, hairdressing equipment, computers, etc.
